Installation at Domingo's
Domingo learned about solar energy when we came to put the system in. Now he will be able to do a little work after it gets dark and visit the outhouse at night without using a flash light with its expensive batteries. He was proud of the fact that he worked on keeping the road/path open so that we could get to his home. He is unable to read the instructions so he must utilize the symbols on the front of the panel to operate the system. We are not quite sure who will maintain this installation though it will probably fall to Timo from the Rancho Mastatal to be involved. Domingo enjoys living off the land. He harvests bananas, beans, and whatever other crop he needs to eat. The only thing he buys is sugar, butter, and soap. He has a couple of chickens that lay eggs to add to his protein intake.
